Our wig making services are different to a standard wig supplier, at Mr. Walker’s Wiggery all our wigs are individually handcrafted and we do not carry a retail pre made stock line.
The process of strand by strand hair knotting is called ventilating. It is a special technique whereto hair is knotted with single or double knots into the Swiss lace base with either 2-3 hairs at once or strand by strand. The amount of ventilating for each wig depends on the type of wig, how the wearer wears their hair and of course your budget. Custom made wigs can also have a combination of ventilated sections and wefted sections.
We carefully consult with each client and after assessing the personal needs we select the hair and handcraft the wig especially. All our wigs are exclusive and fitted perfectly to the head and are of the highest standard.
We only use 100% human hair sourced from ethical sources, in fact we also accept donations of hair by people wanting to help those in need.
Yes, there is even the possibility if your hair is suitable, to even use your own hair to create your wig, or hair donated from a family member or close friend.
