Wigs are a very labour intensive process, for a custom piece it can take between 100-200 hours on average to construct a fully ventilated topper, and between 200-450 hours on average to construct a partially or fully ventilated wig. The work is exact and painstaking but the results are amazing!

For new pieces we charge $60.00 and hour labour and for repairs we charge $70 an hour labour.

For more accurate quotes we need to do a video or in person consultation which is $100 for a 1 hour consultation.

FAQS

Why are wigs much cheaper on the internet?

-The majority of wigs are made in India, China and South East Asia... yes even the ones that are sold in Australia and the US! In these countries wigs are mass produced in less than favourable conditions with workers being paid a pittance for their painstaking labour. It's your choice to support these exploitive industries or to choose to have your piece loving made in and ethical manner.

Why does it take so long to make a wig or topper?

-The process of ventilating hair means that each hair must be hand knotted! To give an idea of how long this takes... a good wig maker can knot 2 square cms of hair in 1 hour! If you are having hand made wefts to reduce the size of the area being ventilated it will still take approx 1 hour to knot 25cm of wefts.

Are there cheaper ways of making a wig?

-Yes you can combine pre made wefts with ventilated areas-usually around the hairline and part line. the less ventilating you do the cheaper the wig, however by doing this there is less natural movement to the wig.
